Karen Rosenfelt is an American media proprietor, film producer and television producer. She was born in United States. After departing from the studio system, Rosenfelt embarked on a new chapter in her career as an independent producer by founding her own production company, Sunswept Entertainment. In November 2005, she solidified her position in the industry by signing an exclusive production deal with Fox 2000 Pictures and Twentieth Century Fox. Notably, she is among the select group of just twenty women in Hollywood to secure a first-look deal with a major studio—an impressive milestone highlighting her influence and success in a traditionally male-dominated industry.

Under the Sunswept banner, Rosenfelt has produced a diverse and successful slate of films across various studios. Her credits include blockbuster franchises such as Twilight, Alvin and the Chipmunks, Max, and Percy Jackson, along with acclaimed titles like The Devil Wears Prada, Me Before You, Marley & Me, Yogi Bear, The Big Year, The Book Thief, Wonder Park, and The New Mutants. Her 2006 film The Devil Wears Prada received critical acclaim, earning a Golden Globe nomination for Best Picture – Musical or Comedy. To date, her body of work has grossed over $6.48 billion at the global box office, placing her among the highest-grossing producers in the world.

Rosenfelt has also made a significant mark in television. She has produced acclaimed series including The First Wives Club, Dare Me, Dopesick, and The Summer I Turned Pretty. In September 2022, she joined forces with her former Paramount colleague John Goldwyn—a member of the iconic Goldwyn family—to launch Goldwyn/Rosenfelt Productions. The duo signed a first-look television deal with Warner Bros. Television, which includes the development and production of original scripted content for HBO Max and Warner Bros.’ internal platforms, in addition to external streaming services, cable, and broadcast networks.
