Jung Il-Woo (정일우) is a South Korean actor, He was born on 9th September 1987 in Seoul, South Korea. Jung Il-woo began his acting journey in 2006 with a minor role in the thriller The World of Silence. He quickly rose to fame with his breakout performance as a rebellious high school student in the popular sitcom Unstoppable High Kick, where he played a motorcycle-loving teen infatuated with his teacher. His charm and talent led to his casting in the 2007 romantic comedy film My Love, where he was part of an ensemble cast.
In 2009, Jung Il-Woo landed his first leading role in the historical drama The Return of Iljimae, portraying a heroic young warrior fighting against injustice. Later that year, he played an idealistic lawyer from an affluent background in the romantic comedy My Fair Lady. Seeking to diversify his craft, Jung made his stage debut in 2010 with Beautiful Sunday, a powerful play about an HIV-positive gay man, earning praise for his emotional depth and bravery.
Jung made history in 2017 by becoming the first Korean actor to take on a leading role in a Thai drama, starring in Gon Rak Game Ma Ya (Love and Lies). The series became a sensation in Thailand, significantly boosting his popularity there. In 2019, Jung returned to the screen post-military service with the historical action drama Haechi, showcasing his refined acting skills.
