Jin Young is a South Korean actor, singer, and songwriter. His real name is Park Jin-young and also known as Park Jinyoung, Park Jin Yeong, Park Jinyeong, Jr., Junior. He was born on 22nd September 1994 in Changwon, South Korea. He graduated from Gyeonggi High School and later earned a bachelor’s degree in Acting from Howon University. He is also enrolled in the Broadcasting Entertainment program at International Cyber University.

Before officially debuting, he became a trainee at JYP Entertainment (JYP엔터테인먼트) in 2009. He made his acting debut with a small role in the KBS drama Dream High 2 in January 2012. In May 2012, JYP formed the special project duo JJ Project (제이제이 프로젝트), consisting of him and Jay B. Debuting under the stage name Jr. (or Junior), they released their first EP Bounce, which later became a sub-unit of GOT7.

In January 2014, he debuted as a member of GOT7, serving as sub-vocalist, visual, center, and face of the group. Their debut EP Got It? received attention for its dynamic live performances, which featured a unique blend of martial arts tricking and street dance. Later that year, GOT7 made their Japanese debut with the single Around the World, expanding their presence in Japan, Southeast Asia, and the United States. Due to frequent confusion over his stage name, he began using his real name in August 2016. In January 2021, he chose not to renew his contract with JYP Entertainment and signed with BH Entertainment (비에이치엔터테인먼트) to focus on his acting career.

He made his solo music debut in January 2023 with the mini-album Chapter 0: With. That same year, he won the Best New Actor Award at the 59th Baeksang Arts Awards for his intense performance in the film A Christmas Carol (크리스마스 캐럴).

He enlisted for mandatory military service on May 8, 2023, and was discharged on November 7, 2024. Despite leaving JYP, the members of GOT7 retained their group name. Now managed independently, GOT7 released the album Winter Heptagon in January 2025, with music distributed by Kakao Entertainment (카카오엔터테인먼트).
