Jeon Hye-Bin (전혜빈) is a South Korean actress, singer and model, Her also known as BIN, She was born on 27th September 1983 in Namyangju, South Korea. Jeon Hye-Bin began her career in the entertainment industry as a member of the girl group LUV. The group debuted in 2002 and consisted of Jeon Hye-bin, Jo Eun-byul, and Oh Yeon-seo. They released their first and only album Story, which featured tracks such as “Orange Girl” and “I Still Believe in You.” Despite the group’s youthful energy and catchy songs, LUV struggled to gain mainstream attention and disbanded just six months after their debut due to low popularity.
In 2003, Jeon Hye-bin began to expand her presence in the entertainment industry beyond music by taking on acting roles. She appeared in the third season of MBC’s popular youth sitcom Nonstop, which helped boost her recognition among younger audiences. That same year, she was cast in KBS’s drama Sang Doo! Let’s Go to School, starring alongside Rain and Gong Hyo-jin, further solidifying her transition into acting. On July 31, 2003, Jeon also launched her solo music career with the release of her first album Love Somebody, which showcased her vocal abilities and marked a new chapter following the disbandment of LUV.
In 2004, Jeon made her big-screen debut in the horror film Dead Friend (also known as The Ghost), where she impressed audiences with her performance in a darker, more intense role. She then appeared in Wet Dreams 2, a teen sex comedy film, which demonstrated her willingness to take on diverse roles early in her career.
By 2005, Jeon continued to diversify her acting portfolio. She appeared in SBS’s Banjun Drama, a popular mini-drama series that aired as part of the Good Sunday variety program. She featured in 13 episodes, gaining further exposure. That year, she also had a supporting role in the romantic comedy series Only You.
On September 23, 2005, she released her second solo album, In My Fantasy. However, the album’s title track, “2AM,” sparked controversy due to its suggestive dance choreography, drawing criticism despite its catchy production by Mr. Tyfoon. Despite the backlash, Jeon remained active in both music and acting, gradually building her reputation as a versatile entertainer.
Jeon Hye-bin has steadily built a successful career in television and film since transitioning from music. In 2007, she took on supporting roles in the romantic comedy Witch Yoo Hee and the historical drama The King and I, showcasing her range across genres. The following year, she played a significant role in the legal thriller The Scale of Providence (2008), further establishing her acting credentials.
In 2011, Jeon starred in SBS’s family drama My Love By My Side and portrayed Queen Jeheon in JTBC’s historical series Insu, The Queen Mother, demonstrating her strength in period dramas. In 2014, she joined the cast of the action-packed KBS series Gunman in Joseon. The following year, she was featured in the sports film The Legend of a Mermaid, playing a former synchronized swimmer, expanding her versatility on screen.
Jeon received renewed acclaim in 2016 with her role as “Gold Hae-young” in the hit romantic comedy Another Oh Hae-young. That same year, she starred in the romance film With or Without You and appeared in the legal drama Woman with a Suitcase. In 2017, she starred in SBS’s legal thriller Distorted, and in 2018, led the web drama Number Woman Gye Sook-ja and the family film Cheer Up Mystery.
In 2019, Jeon appeared in What’s Wrong, Poong-sang and starred in the Korean remake of Leverage. In June that year, she signed with a new agency, Pan Stars Company, marking a new chapter in her ongoing acting journey.
On December 7, 2019, Jeon Hye-bin married a non-celebrity in a private wedding ceremony held in Bali, Indonesia. The event was intimate and attended by close family and friends, reflecting her desire to keep her personal life away from the public spotlight.
On April 7, 2022, her agency announced the joyful news that Jeon was expecting her first child. Later that year, on September 30, 2022, she gave birth to a healthy baby boy. The actress expressed her happiness and gratitude for this new chapter in her life, balancing her career and family with grace.
