ennifer Love Hewitt is an American actress, singer, and producer who rose to fame in the late 1990s and early 2000s. She began her career as a child performer, appearing in commercials and on the Disney Channel series Kids Incorporated. Her breakout role came as Sarah Reeves Merrin on the teen drama Party of Five, which aired from 1995 to 1999. She soon became a household name with her lead role as Julie James in the popular horror films I Know What You Did Last Summer (1997) and I Still Know What You Did Last Summer (1998), and as Amanda Beckett in the cult classic teen comedy Can’t Hardly Wait (1998).

Hewitt has continued to build a diverse acting portfolio in both film and television. She starred in the romantic crime comedy Heartbreakers (2001), the action-comedy The Tuxedo (2002), and voiced Liz in the Garfield live-action films. She gained acclaim for her starring role as Melinda Gordon in the long-running supernatural series Ghost Whisperer (2005–2010). Hewitt also played Riley Parks in The Client List—a role that earned her a Golden Globe nomination—and later joined the cast of Criminal Minds and currently stars in Fox’s hit series 9-1-1 as Maddie Buckley.
