Jeethu Joseph is an popular Indian film director, screenwriter, and producer. He was born on 10th November 1972 in Muvattupuzha, Kerala, India. Jeethu Joseph began his journey in the film industry as an assistant director to acclaimed director Jayaraj in the film Bheebhathsam. Although he initially got a chance to direct a film starring Dileep, the project did not materialize, forcing him to return to square one.

During this challenging period, Jeethu Joseph developed the one-line plot for Detective. Struggling to find a producer, he received support from his mother, Leelamma Joseph, who co-produced the film. Midway through production, a producer stepped in and took over the project. Released in 2007, Detective performed well at the box office, marking Jeethu’s directorial debut and showcasing his potential as a storyteller.

Jeethu Joseph second film, Mummy & Me, although it took nearly three years to complete, became a turning point in his career. The film’s success established Jeethu as a director who could handle family-oriented narratives with emotional depth. Despite offers to make films similar to Detective, Jeethu wanted to experiment with different genres, which drove his choice to pursue Mummy & Me.

Following this, Jeethu directed My Boss, which also enjoyed commercial success. His fourth film, Memories (2013), a suspense thriller, was both a critical and box-office hit, further solidifying his reputation.

Later in 2013, Jeethu achieved monumental success with Drishyam, starring Mohanlal. The film was a massive blockbuster, becoming the highest-grossing Malayalam film at the time and the first to cross ₹50 crore at the box office. Drishyam was later remade in several languages, including Tamil, Telugu, Kannada, and Hindi, achieving success across industries.

Jeethu Joseph later directed Life of Josutty. Married to Linta, a costume designer in Malayalam cinema, Jeethu is a proud father of two children, balancing a thriving career with a happy family life.
