India Unblocks Pakistani YouTube Channels & Restores Artist Accounts

India Unblocks Pakistani YouTube Channels

In a surprising and welcome move, India has lifted the ban on several Pakistani YouTube channels and artist accounts. This decision has brought joy to many Indian fans who were missing access to Pakistani content, especially dramas and celebrity updates.

The ban was imposed after the Pahalgam incident, during which India restricted access to popular Pakistani YouTube channels and even blocked social media accounts of various Pakistani actors. This also affected the release of Pakistani films, including those featuring top stars like Fawad Khan and Hania Aamir. Although Hania Aamir’s movie received global success, it was not allowed to release in Indian cinemas.

Now, without any prior notice, the Indian government has removed these restrictions, allowing Pakistani content to reappear across platforms. Fans from across India are expressing their happiness on social media. During the ban, there was a noticeable drop in Indian viewership for Pakistani content, but hit dramas like Mann Mast Malang, Sher, Dayan, and Parwarish continued to attract large audiences.

Many Indian viewers have welcomed the unblocking of these channels. One fan wrote, “The first step was taken by Diljit Dosanjh, and now everyone is following.” Another viewer commented, “It’s great that the ban is lifted, but now the Pakistani industry should focus even more on producing high-quality content.”

The unblocking has especially excited fans of actor Danish Taimoor. His dramas Sher and Mann Mast Malang were already doing well in India despite the ban, and fans now believe the viewership will grow even faster. One user wrote, “Now Sher will roar louder!” while another predicted, “Sher will soon join the billion-views club and break Tere Bin’s record.”

Meanwhile, Indian users were surprised to suddenly see posts from Pakistani celebrities in their feeds again. This revealed that not just channels, but certain artist accounts were also quietly restored. Among those whose accounts are now accessible in India are Danish Taimoor, Ahad Raza Mir, Mawra Hocane, and Yumna Zaidi.

However, not all accounts have been unblocked yet. Indian fans still cannot access pages of stars like Mahira Khan, Fawad Khan, Wahaj Ali, Iqra Aziz, Farhan Saeed, and Hania Aamir. Fans are hopeful that access to these accounts will also be restored soon.

Experts believe this move by the Indian government is a positive signal for cultural ties between the two countries. It is also a great opportunity for the Pakistani entertainment industry to strengthen its presence in the Indian digital market by consistently delivering high-quality content.

As viewers on both sides of the border celebrate this change, it’s clear that art, culture, and storytelling continue to connect people beyond politics and boundaries.
