Gaurav Mishra, the Founder of Knocking Door Films Casting Company, is a versatile Indian film actor and casting director. Born in Sasaram, Bihar, and raised in Delhi, Gaurav completed his graduation from Delhi University. Initially working in the corporate sector, he soon realized his true passion lay in films. Driven by this newfound calling, he left his job and immersed himself in professional theatre for eight years in Delhi, honing his craft before moving to Mumbai to pursue a full-time acting career.
Gaurav made his acting debut with a small role in the critically acclaimed film Raanjhanaa. However, his breakthrough came with the television series Chupa Rustam, which aired on NDTV Prime and brought him wider recognition. His dedication and versatility opened up opportunities across various platforms, leading to significant roles in both mainstream and digital projects.
Over the years, Gaurav has built an impressive body of work, featuring in popular projects like Rangbaaz, India’s Most Wanted, Bard of Blood (Netflix), TVF’s Kota Factory, Agra, Hush Hush (Amazon Prime), Despatch, Class (Netflix), UT69, Wedding.con (BBC Studios & Amazon Prime), and Gaanth, among others. His journey from theatre to screen reflects his passion, persistence, and commitment to storytelling in Indian cinema.
