Farida Jalal was married to actor Tabrez Barmavar, who hailed from Bhatkal, Karnataka. The two met on the sets of Jeevan Rekha and developed a deep bond during the course of the film, eventually marrying in November 1978. After their marriage, the couple relocated to Bangalore, where Tabrez managed a soap factory business. They were blessed with a son named Yaseen. Tragically, Tabrez Barmavar passed away in September 2003, leaving Farida Jalal to continue her journey as both a dedicated mother and a celebrated actress.
