Evan Shafran, known professionally as EVeryman, is a multifaceted performer—an actor, rapper, comedian, DJ, B-boy, and lifelong Star Wars fan. A proud union member of SAG-AFTRA, Actor’s Equity Association, and ASCAP, he hails from the Deering Center area of Portland, Maine. After graduating from Deering High School, he earned his B.A. in Dance Theatre and Sociology from Manhattanville College in Purchase, New York, graduating summa cum laude in 2005. Following a stint in Brooklyn’s Park Slope neighborhood, he moved to Los Angeles in 2008 to further pursue his artistic career.
As a performing artist, EVeryman blends conscious, optimistic lyricism with high-energy beats inspired by old-school hip-hop and reggae. He co-founded the hip-hop duo Little Giants with the late DJ/Producer Pumpkin (Nick Alvarado), and continues to honor Pumpkin’s legacy in his DJ sets. As an actor, he has appeared in the Oscar-winning film Get Out and starred in Storyteller, a short film by Smashwerks Films recognized at the Los Angeles Independent Film Festival. He is also the creator and star of the hip-hop comedy web series Boyz in the Wood. Through music, theatre, and screen, EVeryman brings an eclectic and heartfelt presence to every project he undertakes.
