The much-anticipated Punjabi film Sardaar Ji 3, starring Indian superstar Diljit Dosanjh and Pakistan’s popular actress Hania Aamir, is currently facing release issues in India. The film, which combines comedy, fantasy, and horror, has become a topic of discussion due to the rising political tension between India and Pakistan.

The problems started when reports surfaced that Sardaar Ji 3 Release in India may not happen due to the presence of a Pakistani actress in the film. Hania Aamir, known for her charming screen presence and successful TV dramas in Pakistan, has played a lead role alongside Diljit in this movie. While fans on both sides of the border were excited to see this collaboration, political restrictions have now created hurdles for the film’s Indian release.

Due to the ban on Pakistani artists in India, many extremist voices have raised objections to the film and targeted Diljit Dosanjh for working with a Pakistani co-star. Some groups have even demanded action from the government against the actor and producers. Despite this controversy, the team behind Sardaar Ji 3 went ahead and released the teaser and the first song Soni Lagdi, which Hania Aamir also shared on her Instagram account, showing her support and excitement.
Speaking about the situation in a recent interview, Diljit Dosanjh shared that when the movie was filmed back in February, the political situation between the two countries was not as tense. He explained that no one could have predicted the challenges they are facing now. He also added that since things have changed, the film will not be released in Indian cinemas. Instead, the producers have decided to go for an overseas release.
Diljit expressed his support for the producers, saying that a lot of money and effort has been invested in this film, and it deserves to be seen by audiences worldwide. While discussing the Sardaar Ji 3 release in India, he admitted that the team understands the potential financial loss of not releasing in the Indian market, but current political circumstances are beyond their control.
Despite the disappointment, fans around the world are eagerly waiting for the film. Sardaar Ji 3 is set to release globally on 27th June, and viewers outside India will still be able to enjoy this unique mix of comedy and ghost-hunting adventure. The film shows Diljit in a fun and quirky role where he plays a man who chases ghosts, adding a fresh twist to Punjabi cinema.
While Sardaar Ji 3 release in India remains uncertain, the excitement among overseas fans, especially in the UK, USA, Canada, and the Middle East, continues to grow. It is yet to be seen whether Indian authorities will reconsider their position, but for now, the film will be missing from Indian theaters.
