Dennis Creaghan is a British actor born on May 1, 1942, in London, England. Over the course of his career, which spanned from the 1980s into the early 2000s, he became known for numerous television appearances, particularly in American dramas and procedurals. He is perhaps most notably recognized by Star Trek fans for his role as Louis in Star Trek: The Next Generation’s Season 4 episode “Family”.
Creaghan built a substantial résumé with recurring and guest roles in a variety of popular series, including Matlock, Murder, She Wrote, L.A. Law, NYPD Blue, Diagnosis: Murder, The Practice, and Law & Order. He also played District Attorney Jack Collins in Central Park West (1995). His film work, though less extensive, includes appearances in Superman IV: The Quest for Peace (1987) and several television films such as Strong Medicine and The Ted Kennedy Jr. Story.
