Deepak Perwani is a multi-talented Pakistani actor, model and also a famous fashion designer. He was born on 1st January 1973 in Mirpurkhas, Pakistan. After completing a year-long course at the Fashion Institute of Technology, New York, he returned to Pakistan in 1994 with a vision to transform local fashion. In 1996, he launched his own fashion label, Deepak Perwani (DP), as a couture house specializing in bridal and formal wear. His flagship store in Zamzama, Karachi, quickly became a hub for luxury fashion, setting new standards in the industry.

Throughout his career, Perwani has collaborated with prestigious international brands such as Mercedes-Benz, Benson & Hedges, and Hugo Boss, strengthening his reputation on a global scale. His bold creativity also earned him a Guinness World Record for designing the world’s largest kurta, which measured 101 feet in height and 59 feet in width, weighing 800 kilograms. This remarkable achievement showcased not only his vision but also Pakistan’s rich textile heritage.

Beyond fashion, Perwani has represented Pakistan as a cultural ambassador to China and Malaysia and served as the brand ambassador for the World Gold Council. He is also an active member of the South Asia Free Media Association (SAFMA), highlighting his commitment to cultural and social engagement. His remarkable talent has been recognized with numerous awards, including seven Lux Style Awards, five BFA Awards, and an Indus Style Guru Award, cementing his place as one of Pakistan’s most influential designers.

In addition to his fashion career, Deepak Perwani has explored acting, making his debut in Mere Paas Paas (2004–05). He later appeared in Kadoorat (2013) alongside Sanam Saeed, followed by Soteli (2014) opposite Sabreen Hisbani. Recently, he featured in Yunhi (2023) and Very Filmy (2024), proving his versatility as both a designer and an actor.
