Pakistani actor Danish Taimoor has stirred controversy with his recent statement about four marriages, which has gone viral on social media. The statement was made during a Ramadan transmission, where his wife, Ayeza Khan, was also present. During the transmission, Danish Taimoor openly shared his views on polygamy in Islam. He stated:
“Men are allowed to have four marriages, but I haven’t done so yet. This is out of love and respect for Ayeza.”
He further emphasized that Islam grants men the right to have multiple wives, and no one can take that right away from them. However, he clarified that he chooses to remain with Ayeza for now.
This statement quickly gained traction on social media, with many users criticizing his choice of words. Some fans found it insensitive towards Ayeza Khan, particularly the phrase “for now, I am with Ayeza,” which implied uncertainty.
While some supported Danish Taimoor’s perspective as a religious viewpoint, others argued that his way of expressing it was inappropriate, especially in front of his wife on live television.
The controversy continues to spark discussions online, with fans and critics sharing divided opinions on Danish Taimoor’s stance on marriage and relationships.
