Dan Gregor is an American comedian, writer, director, and producer, best known for his work on Chip ‘n Dale: Rescue Rangers, Crazy Ex-Girlfriend, and the film Most Likely to Murder. Throughout his career, Gregor has developed a reputation for blending sharp wit with creative storytelling across television and film. His contributions to both comedic writing and directing have helped him carve out a distinct place in the entertainment industry.

Born in Woodmere, New York, Gregor pursued his passion for comedy early on. He married actress and writer Rachel Bloom, and together they welcomed a daughter in 2020. Gregor’s media career began as a founding member of Hammerkatz, a comedy troupe at New York University, which eventually led him to the Upright Citizens Brigade Theater. He gained widespread recognition as a writer and producer for How I Met Your Mother between 2010 and 2014. From 2015 to 2019, he expanded his role as a writer, producer, and director on the critically acclaimed CW series Crazy Ex-Girlfriend. His directorial debut, Most Likely to Murder, premiered at SXSW in 2018 and was later acquired by Lionsgate and Hulu, further establishing him as a multifaceted creative force in the industry.
