Cindy Myskiw (born Cindy Rose Durocher) is a Canadian actor, producer, director, and writer. With a multifaceted career in both independent and broadcast media, Cindy has established herself as a passionate and driven storyteller. She has appeared in two speaking roles in Hallmark movies and is notably the co-creator, director, producer, and co-host of the talk show Big Talk, which aired on Shaw Spotlight TV.
Her directorial and writing debut came with the heartfelt short film A Prairie Christmas, in which she also played a lead role. Cindy portrayed Mrs. Karen Grimsley in the award-winning television series Millworth, which won First Place for Narrative at the Real to Reel Film Festival in 2016. In addition to her on-screen role, she directed two episodes, produced several, and was responsible for background casting and placement across eight episodes.
Cindy also produced and acted in the impactful short Rage Can Kill, which was recently awarded one of the eight Manitoba ACTRA Member Initiated Production (MIP) Grants.
Born in Manitoba as the fifth of seven siblings to René and Jane Durocher, Cindy experienced a challenging upbringing marked by her parents’ divorce during her early teens. She credits those formative experiences with shaping her resilience and creativity. A devoted family woman, Cindy has been married for 39 years and is a proud mother of four—two biological and two adopted children.
Cindy’s journey into acting began in 2004–2005 through community theatre, where she quickly discovered her passion for the craft. This early experience inspired her to pursue acting and filmmaking on a professional level, and she continues to champion local storytelling through her many creative roles.
