Christopher Lloyd is a distinguished American actor born on October 22, 1938, whose career spans over six decades across theater, film, and television. Best known for his iconic role as the eccentric inventor Emmett “Doc” Brown in the Back to the Future trilogy (1985–1990), Lloyd has also made a lasting impression on television audiences as Jim Ignatowski in Taxi (1978–1983), a role that earned him two Emmy Awards.
He began his acting career on stage, gaining critical acclaim in Northeastern theater circles in the 1960s and early 1970s.
