Christina Vidal is an American actress and singer known for her versatile career in both television and film. She gained recognition for her lead role as the title character in the Nickelodeon sitcom Taina (2001–2002), where she portrayed a young aspiring singer named Taina Morales. Vidal’s career took off in the late 1990s and early 2000s with notable roles in films like Life with Mikey, Brink!, and Freaky Friday, alongside other work in See No Evil and Code Black (2015–2016), where she played Gina Perrello.
Born in Whitestone, Queens, New York City, Vidal comes from a Puerto Rican family. Her father, Manny Vidal, was a tax consultant and businessman, while her mother, Josie, worked as a secretary. She attended Fiorello H. LaGuardia High School, a school known for nurturing artistic talent.
At 17, Vidal joined a girl group called Gemstone, along with Jade Villalon and Crystal Grant, before transitioning to her acting career. Her family has been supportive of her path in the arts, with her sisters Lisa and Tanya also being involved in acting and theater.
