Choi Soo Young (수영) is a South Korean actress, singer, dancer, Her also known as Sooyoung, She was born on 10th February 1990 in Gwangju, Gyeonggi, South Korea. Choi Soo Young is best known for The Third Hospital (2012), Dating Agency: Cyrano (2013), My Spring Days (2014), Squad 38 (2016), Man in the Kitchen (2017–2018), Tell Me What You Saw (2020), and most recently in Run On (2021), So I Married the Anti-fan (2021), If You Wish Upon Me (2022), and Not Others (2023) and Second Shot at Love (2025).
In early August 2017, Choi Sooyoung starred as a television producer in the JTBC web drama Someone You Might Know, followed by a lead role in MBC’s Man in the Kitchen. After parting ways with SM Entertainment in November 2017, she signed with Echo Global Group, while her future with Girls’ Generation remained uncertain at the time.

In 2018, Choi appeared in the Korean-Japanese film Memories of a Dead End and the action-comedy Miss & Mrs. Cops. That December, she released her first solo single, “Winter Breath,” marking a new chapter in her music career. She also launched official Twitter and YouTube accounts to celebrate the release.
Choi joined Saram Entertainment in May 2019. In 2020, she starred in OCN’s thriller Tell Me What You Saw and JTBC’s romantic drama Run On. In 2021, she led the Naver TV rom-com So I Married the Anti-fan and appeared in Netflix’s Move to Heaven. In 2022, she played a hospice nurse in KBS2’s If You Wish Upon Me, and reunited with Girls’ Generation for their 15th anniversary album Forever 1, co-writing “Seventeen” and “Villain.” In 2024, Saram Entertainment announced her Japanese debut maxi single, Unstoppable, set for release on October 30.
