échir Sylvain is a dynamic Haitian-American actor, writer, director, and producer, known for his compelling performances across both television and theater. He currently stars as “Glock” in Season 3 of the Starz hit series BMF and as “Roman” in the BET+ comedy-mystery Diarra From Detroit. He also portrayed “AJ” on the TBS series Claws. A lifetime member of The Actors Studio, Béchir studied drama at Southern Methodist University and created the award-winning web series Make It Happen, showcasing his talent behind the camera as well. His theatrical achievements include a Best Ensemble NAACP Theater Award for his portrayal of Malcolm X in The Meeting and an Obie Award for Best Actor in The Royale by Marco Ramirez, where he starred as Jay “The Sport” Jackson.

Béchir’s extensive TV credits highlight his versatility, with guest roles in acclaimed series such as Blindspotting, Black Summer, SWAT, Rookie: Feds, This Is Us, Chicago P.D., Better Call Saul, Black-ish, Grace and Frankie, Fuller House, and The Mick. His film work includes supporting roles in Haitian Wedding, The Ultimate Life (Hallmark), Holiday Hideaway, A Stone Cold Christmas, and Life After Beth by American Zoetrope. Fluent in both French and Haitian Creole, Béchir has also starred in numerous national and regional commercials.
