Ayyappa P. Sharma is a popular South Indian actor, director & writer. He was born on 28th November 1968 in Andhra Pradesh, India, who majority of their work is in Kannada or Telugu films. Ayyappa P. Sharma will be part of the new upcoming Telugu movie Michael (2023) opposite Vijay Sethupathi and Varalaxmi Sarathkumar. His acting debut was in 2003’s Kannada romantic-action drama ‘Partha’ in which he portrayed Kitty. In 2005, he made his debut in the Telugu film industry with the action film ‘Slokam.’ Other Kannada films in which he appeared include Gharshane (2014), MasterPiece (2015), and Tiger Galli (2017).
He worked for 10 months as a director at Jyothi Movie Makers in Hyderabad in 1997. In 1998, he produced and directed the Nandi Award-winning Telugu film ‘Eswar Allah.’ He directed numerous TV serials for Sonopix Productions Private Ltd from May 2008 to November 2009. Telugu films in which he appeared include Lacchimdeviki O Lekkundi (2016) and Aravindha Sametha Veera Raghava (2018). He came into the limelight with the popular pan-India film sequels K.G.F: Chapter 1 (2018) and K.G.F: Chapter 2 (2022) in which he played the role of Vanaram. He appeared in the role of Prachanda, a Tantrik, in the 2021 Indian Telugu-language action drama film ‘Akhanda.’ In 2021, he was cast in Kannada the supernatural comedy-drama film ‘Avatara Purusha’ as Bramha Jois, a daivagurugalu who is pitted against Darka in the film.
His belong to Chennai, Tamil Nadu and he raised in Vizianagaram, Andhra Pradesh. Ayyappa P. Sharma’s father, Pudipeddi Jogeswara Sarma (commonly known as P. J. Sarma), was an Indian film dubbing artist, actor, and writer, who predominantly worked in the Telugu film industry. P. J. Sarma also worked in the Tamil and Kannada film industries. At the age of 81, P. J. Sarma died due to a heart attack on 14 December 2014. His mother, Krishna Jyothi Pudipeddi, worked as an actress in the Telugu and Kannada film industries. She is known for appearing in the Kannada films Sri Krishna Garudi (1958) and Makkala Rajya (1960), sharing the screen with the acclaimed Kannada actor Dr Rajkumar.
He has two brothers, Pudipeddi Sai Kumar (famous known as P. Sai Kumar) and Pudipeddi Ravi Shankar (famous known as P. Ravi Shankar). Both of them work as dubbing artists, actors, directors, and writers in the Kannada, Telugu, and Tamil film industries. Ayyappa has two sisters, Kamala Narayan and Priya Karthikeyan.
