Ashmit Patel is an popular Indian film & television actor. He was born on 13th January 1978 in Mumbai, Maharashtra, India, who starred in several Bollywood films and reality shows. Also, Indian actor Ashmit Patel will also be starring in the upcoming film Sector Balakot (2023). He attended Cathedral and John Connon School, Mumbai, and he obtained a Bachelor of Business degree from the University of Texas at Austin. After completing graduation, he returned to Mumbai and started assisting film director Vikram Bhatt in films like Raaz (2002), Aap Mujhe Achche Lagne Lage (2002), Awara Paagal Deewana (2002), and Footpath (2003). He got recognition after his participation in Season 4 of the controversial reality show, Bigg Boss. Ashmit Patel has an elder sister Ameesha Patel who is an actress by profession.

Ashmit Patel belongs to a middle-class Gujarati Patidar family. His father Amit Patel is a businessman and his mother Asha Patel is a homemaker. He is the younger brother of popular actress Ameesha Patel. His grandfather Rajni Patel was the President of the Mumbai Congress Pradesh Committee. Earlier, he had an affair with actress Riya Sen, but the relationship didn’t go long. After that, he was dating Pakistani actress Veena Malik, but they got separated soon. His name was also linked with TV actress Sara Khan. In 2017, he got engaged to his long-time friend cum actress Mahek Chahal.
