Arata Sato (佐藤新), born on September 1, 2000, in Tokyo, is a Japanese actor and singer currently affiliated with the talent agency TOBE. He is best known as a member and center of the male idol group IMP., formerly known as IMPACTors under Johnny’s Jr. Sato initially joined Johnny & Associates on April 13, 2016, after a successful audition, entering the agency alongside peers like Hidaka Ukisho and Yuto Nasu. His talent and presence quickly earned him the central role in IMPACTors when the group was officially introduced during Music Station’s 2-Hour Special in October 2020.
After the group’s disbandment from Johnny & Associates on May 25, 2023, Sato and the other members made a high-profile move by joining TOBE, a new talent agency established by former Johnny’s executive Hideaki Takizawa. On July 14, 2023, they announced a fresh start under the new group name IMP. via a YouTube livestream. Arata Sato continues to be the group’s frontman, leading their musical and performance direction as they embark on a new chapter in their careers.
