Anjum Shahzad is a Pakistani TV & Film director, producer, writer, and actor. He was born on July 11, 1970, in Lahore, Pakistan. He started work as an actor in a serial Family front in which he played the comedy role of Bobby.
He has directed many famous movies and serials such as Khaani, Dusri Biwi, Kabhi Kabhi, Mah e Mir, and Zindagi Kitni Haseen Hai. He has a famous name in the Pakistani drama industry.
Anjum has a successful career in directing and has directed some of the most popular drama serials such as Mora Piya, Mirat-ul-Uroos, Rang Laaga, Khuda Aur Muhabbat, Satrangi, Dusri Bivi, and critically acclaimed telefilm Armaan.
He debuts as a film director in 2016 with a biopic Mah-e-Mir, based on the life of Meer Taqi Meer. Anjum received his 3rd Best TV Director award at the 15th Lux Style Awards for Rang Laaga. Mah e Mir was selected by the Pakistani Academy Selection Committee as Pakistan’s official entry for the Best Foreign Language Film at the 89th Academy Awards.
