Anang Desai is an well known Indian television and film actor. He was born on 4th May 1953 in Ahmedabad, Bombay State, India, who is known for Gandhi (1982), Byomkesh Bakshi (1993), Rustom (2016) and the actor Anang Desai will be a part of the new upcoming Indian movie Aazam (2023). In the year 1982, Anang Desai started his film career with Gandhi, in which he played Indian politician J. B. Kripalani. He is married to Chitra Desai. Anang Desai belong to Hindu family. His father was a cardiologist, and his mother was a singer and painter. He has three younger sisters, and one of his sisters Gopi Desai is a TV actress. He is married to Chitra Desai.
His career began as a singer at All India Radio, Ahmedabad. In the year 1982, Anang made his debut as an actor in the English film ‘Gandhi’ which he portrayed the Indian politician J.B. Kripalani. In the year 1986, he made his Hindi film debut with ‘Antaheen.’ He mainly played supporting roles in various Hindi films like ‘Hum Dil De Chuke Sanam’ (1999), ‘Mamta’ (2002), ‘Ishq Vishk’ (2003), ‘Good Boy, Bad Boy’ (2007), ‘Khichdi: The Movie’ (2010), and ‘Rustom’ (2016).
In the year 1988, Anang Desai made his TV debut with the Doordarshan channel’s show ‘Bharat Ek Khoj’ in which he played the role of Rajan. He has acted in many popular TV shows like ‘Parinati’ (1989), ‘Byomkesh Bakshi’ (1994), ‘Khichdi’ (2002), ‘Woh Rehne Waali Mehlon Ki’ (2006), ‘Chidiya Ghar’ (2016), and ‘Bhabiji Ghar Par Hain!’ (2021).
