Alizeh Shah, a popular Pakistani actress, has officially announced that she is taking a break from both social media and television dramas. Known for her breakout role in the film Superstar and then in Ehd-e-Wafa, Alizeh quickly rose to fame and became a household name. Over the years, she has stayed in the spotlight not only for her acting but also for various controversies that surrounded her.
Despite her popularity, Alizeh has not been very active in the drama industry lately. She has appeared in a few projects in recent years but nothing consistent. According to her, this break is intentional. She revealed that she is no longer interested in doing projects where she feels disrespected or underpaid. Alizeh mentioned that she has completely changed as a person over the years and now only wants to work in a respectful and professional environment.

Recently, Alizeh Shah spoke up about some serious issues going on behind the scenes in the showbiz industry. She criticized married men in the industry who try to cross boundaries with their co-actresses. She also expressed frustration over being constantly trolled for her clothing choices, even when she has never used any wrong means to get work. According to her, judgmental comments affect her personally, and people don’t know the real struggles actors go through.
One of the biggest reasons why Alizeh has stopped working in dramas is the issue of late payments. After veteran actor Syed Mohammad Ahmed highlighted the same problem publicly, Alizeh also confirmed her similar experience. She said that she sometimes has to wait for 3 to 4 months to receive her payment after completing a project. She added that actors are often forced to repeatedly request their own money, which creates stress and disrespect. This unfair treatment has played a big role in her decision to step away from dramas for now.

Until then, she plans to stay away from the drama industry and focus on her personal growth. As for her presence on social media, she is taking a break from that too, preferring peace and privacy over online attention.
