Abdul Wahab Mumuni, professionally known as Abdul Salis, is a British actor born on July 6, 1979. He is best known for his role as paramedic Curtis Cooper in Casualty, the UK’s longest-running medical drama. With a career spanning both television and film, Salis has built a reputation as a versatile and reliable performer in British entertainment.
Salis has appeared in a variety of television roles over the years. His credits include The Hidden City (2002), Trevor’s World of Sport (2003), and a memorable guest appearance in Doctor Who (2006) in the episode “Fear Her,” where he played Kel. He also starred in the CBBC show M.I. High as footballer Ben Lacy and portrayed Enoch Rowe, a Trinidadian immigrant farm worker, in Father Brown (2019). In 2019, he joined the cast of EastEnders as Caden James.
In more recent years, Salis was cast as Eamon Valda in Amazon’s high-profile fantasy series The Wheel of Time in 2020. He also played a recurring role as Sebastian in Hard Cell, a Netflix mockumentary sitcom created by Catherine Tate and released in 2022.
