Khurram Rana began his career in the entertainment industry as an actor and production manager in 1998. His first play, Mohabbatain, was produced in London and aired on PTV, marking the start of his journey in television. In 2000, he returned to Pakistan to pursue acting full-time, taking on roles in 13 prime-time drama serials, including Chammak, Mom Ka Chehra, Jared Ka Chand, Khayal, Mamta, December, and Tere Pehlu Main. His performances earned him recognition, establishing him as a prominent figure in the television industry.

In 2002, Khurram Rana took a significant step in his career by launching his own production house, IQ Studios. Through this venture, he produced several successful projects, including Kinara, Panchi, Kismet, Tere Pehlu Main, Mehman Nawaz, and Sunrise from Istanbul. One of his most notable achievements was Tere Pehlu Main, which became Pakistan’s longest-running soap opera, airing 1,000 episodes on GEO TV. His contribution to the television industry extended beyond production, as he successfully ran SEE TV and ventured into filmmaking. His feature film Mah-e-Mir gained critical acclaim and was officially selected as Pakistan’s entry for the Oscars, highlighting his excellence in storytelling and production.

Apart from his work in drama and film, Khurram Rana has played a significant role in shaping the Pakistani television industry. He co-founded and served as chairman of the United Producers Association of Television, advocating for the interests of content creators. His expertise and influence in the industry were further recognized when he was selected as a jury member for the Lux Style Awards for three consecutive years. With a career spanning decades, Khurram Rana continues to be a driving force in the entertainment world, contributing to the growth and evolution of Pakistani television and cinema.
