Venkat Somasundaram is a famous Indian film producer. He was born on 1st January 1981 in Chennai, Tamil Nadu, India. Producer Venkat Somasundaram mostly works in the Tamil industry. A successful producer, he has mainly made love stories movies. In the year 2012, he produced his first movie, the Bollywood movie Ekk Deewana Tha, which starred Prateik Babbar in the lead role.

In the very same year, 2012, Venkat Somasundaram released, Yeto Vellipoyindhi Manasu and Yeto Vellipoyindhi Manasu. Then in the year 2013, he produced a movie, Thanga Meengal. This movie gave him the push he required in the film industry. The movie got numerous award nominations for various film award shows. Then he produced the movie, Courier Boy Kalyan, which released in the year 2015, which is almost two years later after his previous film.

In the year 2016, he came out with three films namely, Tamilselvanum Thaniyar Anjalum, which is the Tamil remake of the film Courier Boy Kalyan, Saahasam Swaasaga Saagipo and Achcham Yenbadhu Madamaiyada. In 2018, he produced a short film, Maa. Then in 2019, he produced the movie, EnaiNoki Paayum Thota, starring famous actor Dhanush in it. In 2014, the movie Thanga Meengal, a film he produced, the Filmfare award for Best Tamil Film, and he will also produce the upcoming Tamil movie Dhruva Natchathiram (2023).
