Green TV Entertainment has dropped the much-awaited teaser of its upcoming telefilm Begunah. The story is inspired by the tragic Pahalgam incident that took place earlier in April 2025 and left the entire region of Kashmir in shock. The telefilm aims to shed light on Pakistan’s perspective of the event and highlight the sacrifices and courage that followed.
The telefilm takes its inspiration from the deadly attack in Pahalgam, a famous tourist destination in occupied Kashmir. During the incident, sudden firing broke out in the valley, resulting in the deaths of more than two dozen people, including both locals and foreign tourists. Most of the victims were Indian citizens, and the incident quickly turned into a political and military flashpoint between India and Pakistan.
In the aftermath, India accused Pakistan of being behind the attack and launched a military operation called Operation Sindoor. Pakistan, however, strongly rejected the claims and responded with what it described as a defensive move, taking down several Indian aircraft including Rafale fighter jets. Pakistan named its response the Battle of Truth, presenting it as proof of defending its integrity.
Soon after India announced a film project titled Operation Sindoor to showcase its side of the story, Pakistan responded with its own creative project. Begunah is being released as a counter-narrative that not only challenges Indian accusations but also highlights Pakistan’s stance, portraying the event from its own perspective. The telefilm focuses on courage, resilience, and the struggle to defend truth against propaganda.
The script of Begunah has been written by talented writers Ali Moin and Irfan Chandio, while the project is directed by Shamoon Abbasi, who is also playing a role in the telefilm. Alongside him, a strong cast including Hasan Niazi, Faraz Farooqi, Kamran Jeelani, Saleem Sheikh, and several other notable actors bring the story to life. The teaser suggests an intense storyline packed with emotions, action, and powerful dialogues.
Green Entertainment is known for taking bold steps in storytelling, and Begunah appears to be another attempt at blending real-life events with drama to spark discussion. The telefilm is not only a piece of entertainment but also a cultural response to international narratives. For viewers, it will be more than just a story—it will serve as a reflection of how Pakistan views the incident and wants its side of history to be told.
With its teaser already making waves, Begunah has set the stage for a powerful and thought-provoking telefilm. It is expected to air soon on Green Entertainment and promises to deliver a gripping story based on real-life tragedy, national pride, and resilience. For audiences in Pakistan, Begunah will be a must-watch project that combines drama with a strong political message.
