Humaira Asghar Cause of Death Updates & Postmortem Report

Pakistani actress and model Humaira Asghar, known for her work in fashion and television, was recently found dead in her flat located in Defence Phase 6, Karachi. The news of her sudden and tragic passing has shocked fans and the entertainment industry alike. She had been missing from the public eye for several weeks, and her decomposed body was discovered after a foul smell alerted neighbors.

According to police reports, Humaira Asghar’s postmortem has been completed at Jinnah Hospital. Police Surgeon Dr. Summaiya Syed stated that the body was in a severely decomposed state, making it difficult to immediately determine the cause of death. Until the final postmortem and forensic reports are ready, the cause of death has been reserved for further investigation.

Police recovered two mobile phones from her flat, which have been sent to a forensic laboratory to retrieve data. Interestingly, the last call made from her phone was traced back to October 2024, and since then, there has been no activity. Investigators suspect that she may have used a third phone to stay in contact with someone, but no such device has been found yet.

SSP South stated that the flat has not been fully searched due to legal procedures. A court bailiff has ordered a proper search to be conducted once an official report of the initial incident is presented in court. Only then will the flat be unsealed and re-examined thoroughly.

Another important update is that Humaira’s father has refused to come to Karachi to claim her body. Authorities are trying to convince him, but if the family does not cooperate, the case may be registered by the state itself. SSP South also added that no friends or colleagues from the showbiz industry have come forward to speak with the police, nor have any neighbors seen her recently. CCTV footage was also reviewed, but no suspicious activity was recorded near her apartment.

Police officials have confirmed that several angles are being investigated, and any progress will be shared once the reports from forensic and medical experts are available. If anything suspicious is found in the postmortem report, a case may be registered, potentially in the name of her family.

This tragic incident has raised questions about loneliness and mental health in the entertainment world, as well as the importance of community and support systems.
