Kang Dae-Kyu (강대규) is a South Korean Director and Screenwriter, His also known as Dae-Gyu Kang, He was born on 26th September 1974 in Busan, South Korea. He has contributed to several acclaimed projects throughout his career, including working alongside notable figures like Kim Hee-won. Kang Dae-Kyu was involved in major cinematic productions such as Tidal Wave (2009), a disaster blockbuster that showcased his early work in large-scale narratives, and Harmony (2010), a touching drama centered around female inmates forming a choir, which earned praise for its heartwarming depiction of hope and redemption. In 2020, he directed Pawn, a critically acclaimed film that tells the story of a young girl taken as collateral and raised by her unexpected guardians. The film was both a commercial and emotional success, lauded for its strong performances and touching storyline.
