Do Kyung-Soo (도경수) is a South Korean actor & singer, His known by his stage name D.O. He was born on 12th January 1993 in Seoul, South Korea. He made his official debut in April 2012 as the main vocalist of EXO-K with the Korean version of their first EP, Mama. As part of EXO, one of K-pop’s most influential groups, he quickly gained attention for his powerful vocals and emotive performances. Initially, EXO-K and EXO-M promoted separately in Korea and China, respectively. However, with the release of their third EP, Overdose, in 2014, the sub-units began promoting as a single group, solidifying their presence as a unified act that continues to perform together to this day.

In the same year, 2014, he began exploring acting. He made his film debut in Cart, a socially conscious movie that portrayed the struggles of temporary workers. He also contributed to the film’s soundtrack, showcasing his versatility as a performer. His television debut followed soon after in SBS’s drama It’s Okay, That’s Love, where he played a supporting role alongside established actors. His performance was well-received, earning him a nomination for Best New Actor at the 51st Baeksang Arts Awards.

On July 1, 2019, he enlisted for South Korea’s mandatory military service and was honorably discharged on January 25, 2021. In July 2021, he launched his solo career with the release of his first mini-album, Empathy, which was met with critical and commercial success.

In November 2023, his contract with SM Entertainment came to an end, and he chose not to renew. Soon after, he announced the founding of Company SooSoo (컴퍼니수수), established alongside his longtime manager to manage his solo music and acting career. Despite this shift, his group activities with EXO will continue to be managed by SM Entertainment, reflecting his commitment to both his individual and group endeavors.
