Kim Seong-yoon (김성윤) is a South Korean director, His also known as Kim Sung-Yoon, He was born on 1st January 1976 in South Korea. Kim Min-tae began his career in 2001 by joining the Entertainment Department of the Korean Broadcasting System (KBS). After gaining valuable experience, he transitioned to the Drama Department, where he built a solid reputation through his collaborative and creative approach to storytelling.

Kim co-directed several notable television dramas, starting with The Great Merchant (2010), a historical series that showcased his ability to handle complex period settings and multi-layered narratives. In 2011, he co-directed the hit musical teen drama Dream High, which gained massive popularity for its fresh cast and inspiring story, further cementing Kim’s standing as a versatile director. He followed this success with Big (2012), a fantasy-romantic drama, and Discovery of Love (2014), a heartfelt look into the complexities of modern relationships, praised for its emotional realism and mature tone.

In 2015, Kim co-directed Who Are You: School 2015, the sixth installment in KBS’s long-running School series, alongside director Baek Sang-hoon. Written by Kim Min-jeong and Im Ye-jin, the drama had modest domestic ratings but struck a strong chord with younger audiences and gained popularity overseas. It played a key role in boosting the profiles of its lead actors—Kim So-hyun, Nam Joo-hyuk, and Yook Sung-jae—thanks to its relatable storyline, youthful energy, and emotional depth.
