Kyoko Inukai (狗飼恭子) is a Japanese screenwriter. She was born on 9th July 1974 in Saitama Prefecture, Japan. She gained widespread recognition with Dried Flower: Our Room in July (2021), a romantic drama that delicately portrayed the bittersweet emotions of love and separation, drawing praise for its poetic tone and heartfelt writing. In 2022, Inukai expanded her repertoire with a series of well-received projects, including Kamiki Ryunosuke no Satsukyu, a slice-of-life narrative exploring quiet introspection; Mental Tsuyome Bijo Shirakawa-san, which combined humor and personal growth in a story about a strong-minded woman; and Shounen no Abyss, a dark psychological drama that delved into youth and despair.

That same year, Inukai penned Egoist (2022), a poignant LGBTQ+ love story that was lauded for its emotional honesty and mature storytelling.
