During the Eid Al Fitr holiday in Dubai, the Roads and Transport Authority (RTA) has announced that all public parking spaces will be free of charge, except for multi-level parking terminals. This complimentary parking initiative will be effective from Shawwal 1 to Shawwal 3, providing residents and visitors with convenient parking options throughout the festive period. Regular paid parking regulations will resume on Shawwal 4, ensuring a smooth transition back to normal operations.
In addition to free parking, public transportation services in Dubai will operate with extended hours to accommodate the increased travel demand during the holiday. The Dubai Metro will have an adjusted schedule to facilitate convenient commuting. On Saturday, March 29, metro services will run from 5:00 AM until 1:00 AM the following day. On Sunday, March 30, operations will begin at 8:00 AM and continue until 1:00 AM the next day. From Monday to Wednesday, March 31 to April 2, the metro will once again be available from 5:00 AM to 1:00 AM the following day.
Similarly, the Dubai Tram will also have extended service hours. From March 29 to March 31, the tram will operate from 6:00 AM until 1:00 AM the next day. On Sunday, March 30, services will start slightly later at 9:00 AM and continue until 1:00 AM. These extended hours aim to enhance accessibility for residents and tourists enjoying the Eid festivities across Dubai.
For those relying on intercity bus services, some changes will be in effect during this period. The RTA has announced that the E100 bus route, which typically operates from Al Ghubaiba Bus Station to Abu Dhabi, will be temporarily suspended from the afternoon of Ramadan 28 (Friday) until Shawwal 3. Passengers traveling to Abu Dhabi are encouraged to use Route E101, which departs from Ibn Battuta Bus Station. Additionally, Route E102 will also be unavailable during this time, with services resuming on Shawwal 4.
To ensure smooth travel planning, passengers are advised to check the RTA’s official website or use the S’hail app for comprehensive details on public bus and marine transport schedules.
Furthermore, vehicle testing centers will be closed from Shawwal 1 to Shawwal 3, with regular operations resuming on Shawwal 4. Similarly, Customer Happiness Centres across Dubai will also remain closed during these days. However, individuals in need of assistance can still access the Smart Customer Happiness Centres, which will continue to operate 24/7 at key locations, including Umm Ramool, Deira, Al Barsha, Al Kifaf, and the RTA Headquarters.
These measures, implemented by the RTA, aim to facilitate seamless travel and convenience for both residents and visitors in Dubai, ensuring a smooth and enjoyable Eid Al Fitr celebration.
