Scotland Pakistan Scholarship-

The British Council Scotland Pakistan Scholarships for Young Women and Girls 2025–26 is a fully funded initiative by the Scottish Government and administered by the British Council Pakistan. It is designed to empower Pakistani women by providing them access to higher education in Pakistan, enabling them to pursue undergraduate (Bachelor’s) and postgraduate (Master’s/MPhil) degrees in priority development fields.

This scholarship is targeted at high-achieving women who demonstrate academic merit and financial need, aiming to promote gender equality and leadership development in Pakistan.

Note: Social sciences such as economics, business studies, psychology, sociology, anthropology, and history are not eligible under this scholarship.

Scholarship Coverage

The scholarship provides comprehensive support to selected candidates:

  • Full tuition fees for the current and upcoming semesters of the program
  • University hostel costs (if applicable)
  • Travel allowances between home and university twice a year for on-campus students

Note: The scholarship does not reimburse tuition for previous semesters, personal expenses, or books.

Eligibility Criteria

Applicants must:

  1. Be female and a Pakistani national residing in Pakistan
  2. Be admitted to or currently enrolled in a HEC-recognized Pakistani university
  3. Pursue a program that:
    • Bachelor’s: maximum 4 years
    • Master’s/MPhil: maximum 2 years
  4. Demonstrate academic merit and financial need

Additional Notes:

  • GRE is not required
  • IELTS or other English language tests are not required
  • There is no age limit
