Joe Root Becomes No.1 Test Batter Again in ICC Rankings

England’s star batsman Joe Root has reclaimed the No. 1 position in the ICC Test batting rankings after moving up one spot. He replaces New Zealand’s Kane Williamson, who has now slipped to second place.

Meanwhile, another English player, Harry Brook, has jumped two places to reach third position, showing consistent form with the bat.

Australia’s Steve Smith has also gained one position, climbing to fourth place in the list. On the other hand, India’s young opener Shubman Gill has faced a drop of three spots, moving down to ninth place.

Notably, no Pakistani batter is in the top 10 of the Test rankings. However, Saud Shakeel from Pakistan has moved up one place to become the 12th ranked Test batter in the world.

Australian all-rounder Cameron Green has made a significant leap, climbing 16 spots to reach 30th place. Indian players Ravindra Jadeja and KL Rahul have also improved their rankings, both moving up five positions to become 34th and 35th, respectively.

Test Bowling Rankings: Bumrah Still No. 1, Nauman Ali at No. 5

India’s pace spearhead Jasprit Bumrah continues to dominate the ICC Test bowling rankings, holding firmly to the No. 1 position.

Australia’s Scott Boland has shown impressive performance and has jumped six places, now ranked sixth among Test bowlers.

Pakistan’s Nauman Ali has maintained a strong position as well, currently ranked at No. 5.

From the West Indies, Shamar Joseph has moved up a remarkable 15 places, reaching the 14th position due to his outstanding recent performances.

Pakistan’s experienced duo, Babar Azam and Mohammad Rizwan, are placed at 12th and 13th, respectively. While they were once regulars in the top 5, their recent form has caused a dip in rankings.

T20 Bowling Rankings: Jacob Duffy Still Leads, Haris Rauf Slips

New Zealand’s Jacob Duffy continues to top the T20 bowling rankings, holding on to the No. 1 spot.

West Indies’ Akeal Hosein has climbed one position to sit at No. 4, while Australia’s Adam Zampa also improved, moving up one place to become No. 5.

Sri Lankan spinner Wanindu Hasaranga has dropped two places, now at No. 6. However, fellow Sri Lankan bowler Nuwan Thushara made a big jump, moving up nine places to sit at No. 16.

From Bangladesh, Rishad Hossain made a huge leap, climbing 12 spots to enter the top 20 and now sits at No. 17.

Pakistan’s Haris Rauf, known for his pace and death-over skills, has unfortunately dropped two spots, slipping to No. 20 in the T20 bowling rankings.
