Azerbaijan Visit Visa Fees, Process, and Travel Guide for Pakistanis

In recent years, more and more Pakistanis have started looking towards Azerbaijan as a favorite travel destination. The country is becoming popular because of its breathtaking landscapes, which include the wide Caspian Sea coastline and the beautiful Caucasus Mountains. Azerbaijan is also special because of its unique location—it lies right between Asia and Europe, offering a blend of Eastern traditions and Western modernity. For Pakistani tourists, it is a chance to experience a destination that combines history, culture, and natural wonders all in one place.

Baku – Where the Old Meets the New

The capital city, Baku, is often the first stop for visitors, and it leaves a lasting impression. The city is a fascinating mix of the modern and the ancient. On one side, travellers can see futuristic landmarks like the world-famous Flame Towers, which light up the night sky. On the other side, there is Icherisheher (Old City), a UNESCO World Heritage site that takes you back centuries with its narrow streets, stone walls, and historical monuments such as the Maiden Tower and Palace of the Shirvanshahs.

Baku is also famous for its lively atmosphere. Tourists can enjoy a relaxing walk along the Caspian Sea Boulevard, shop at modern malls, taste traditional Azerbaijani food like plov and kebabs, or even enjoy cultural performances and art exhibitions. The city beautifully reflects the charm and diversity of Azerbaijan.

Best Time to Visit Azerbaijan

For Pakistani travellers who want to enjoy the best weather, the ideal months to visit are May and September. In May, spring is in full bloom—the mountains are covered with fresh greenery and colorful flowers, making it perfect for hiking, sightseeing, and outdoor photography. September, on the other hand, offers a different charm. The weather is pleasantly warm, the early autumn colors begin to appear, and visitors can witness local harvest festivals, where traditional Azerbaijani music, dance, and food bring the culture to life. These months are especially attractive for those who want to experience both nature and cultural activities.

Azerbaijan Visit Visa Fee in Pakistan

To make travelling more convenient, Azerbaijan has introduced an easy online e-visa system for Pakistani citizens. This system saves travellers the hassle of long paperwork and embassy visits. There are two main types of visit visas available:

  • Standard Visa:
    • Type: Single-entry, valid for 30 days
    • Fee: $20 (around Rs 5,560)
    • Service Charge: $5 (around Rs 1,390)
    • Processing Time: 3 to 5 working days
  • Urgent Visa:
    • Type: Single-entry, valid for 30 days
    • Fee: $50 (around Rs 13,900)
    • Processing Time: Just 3 to 5 hours

This flexibility allows Pakistani tourists to choose according to their travel plans. If someone is planning their trip in advance, the standard visa is affordable and easy. However, if someone needs to travel quickly due to business, family, or leisure plans, the urgent visa option is extremely helpful.

How to Apply for the Azerbaijan Visit Visa

Pakistani travellers can apply online through the official ASAN Visa portal at https://evisa.gov.az/en/. The process is simple: applicants need to fill out an online form, upload the required documents, and pay the visa fee online. The e-visa is valid for 90 days, and within this period, travellers can stay in Azerbaijan for up to 30 days.

It is important to note that entry is still subject to the rules mentioned in Azerbaijan’s Migration Code, meaning travellers should follow the country’s entry and stay regulations. With these easy steps, Pakistanis can now plan their dream trip to Azerbaijan without much difficulty.
