The Federal Government Educational Institutions (Cantonments/Garrisons) Directorate, which operates under Pakistan’s Ministry of Defence, has officially announced 700 teaching jobs on a contract basis. These job openings are for Secondary School Teachers (SST) and Trained Graduate Teachers (TGT).
These positions are being offered for one year, but the contract may be extended for another year, depending on the needs of the institution.
Available Teaching Positions

1. Secondary School Teacher (SST – BS-17)

2. Trained Graduate Teacher (TGT – BS-16)

Quota Distribution
The available positions are divided according to regional quotas and minority quotas. This ensures fair representation from all parts of the country. The quotas are distributed as follows:

Eligibility Criteria
To apply for these teaching jobs, candidates must meet the following educational qualifications:
For SST (Secondary School Teacher):
- Must have a Master’s Degree (16 years of education) from a university recognized by the Higher Education Commission (HEC).
- Along with a B.Ed degree or any equivalent teaching qualification.
OR - A Master’s in Educational Planning and Management (M.A. EPM) from a recognized university is also acceptable.
For TGT (Trained Graduate Teacher):
- Must have a Bachelor’s Degree (14 years of education) in the relevant subject.
- Also requires a B.Ed or equivalent qualification from a recognized university.

- 3 years extra for candidates from rural or underprivileged areas
- 10 years for individuals with disabilities
- Up to 15 years for retired military personnel
- 5 years for family members of deceased government employees (if eligible)

Posting & Other Details
- Selected teachers can be posted anywhere in Pakistan, depending on the department’s requirements.
- If any fake documents are found or if someone has a criminal background, their appointment will be cancelled immediately.
- No TA/DA (Travel Allowance/Daily Allowance) will be provided for the test or interview.
