AIOU Extends Admission Deadline for Matric, Intermediate, and Diploma Programs

Allama Iqbal Open University (AIOU) has officially announced an extension in the admission deadline for several of its academic programs. The extension covers diploma and certificate courses, teacher training programs, as well as matriculation (9th and 10th class) and intermediate (11th and 12th class) programs. This decision comes as a relief for many students who were unable to complete their admission process within the earlier deadline.

In a statement issued by the university’s local campus on Friday, it was confirmed that students can now submit their admission forms until August 25. Most importantly, candidates will not have to pay any late fee during this extended period. This step has been taken to make it easier for students from different backgrounds, especially those living in remote areas, to complete their admissions without financial or time pressure.

The university also reminded students that the admission process is fully digital and can be completed online. Applicants are required to register and submit their forms through the CMS (Course Management System) portal, which has been designed to provide a smooth and user-friendly experience. By using this portal, students can select their courses, upload required documents, and confirm their enrollment without visiting the campus in person.

AIOU officials highlighted that this extension is part of the university’s ongoing commitment to promote education across Pakistan. Since Allama Iqbal Open University is one of the largest distance-learning institutions in the country, it serves a diverse group of learners including working professionals, women managing households, and individuals living in rural areas. By extending the deadline, the university hopes to give every student a fair chance to continue their studies and improve their qualifications.

Students who are interested are encouraged to take advantage of this opportunity and complete their admissions before the new deadline. Missing the final date could mean waiting until the next semester to apply, which may delay academic progress.
