Black Adam Story
While we don’t know who will be in the movie starring Mr. Rock, we also don’t know much about the narrative since DC and Warner Bros. has been tight-lipped about the film’s premise. Even though we have no idea what Team DC has planned for the film, there are a few things we may deduce ahead of any official narrative announcements. Debut and foremost, this movie will mark the character’s first appearance in the DC Extended Universe. As a result, it’s logical to assume that the movie will act as a genesis narrative. It’ll be fascinating to watch how the movie creative team handles the character’s origins if that’s the case.
In case you didn’t know, the character’s origin has changed drastically in the pages of DC comics throughout the years. Initially, this movie was a legitimate criminal and a tragically misguided forerunner to Shazam, who often fought Billy Batson and his super-powered team. However, in recent years, the character’s storyline has shifted away from pure villainy, with the movie instead shown as a wronged antihero seeking to clear his name and reputation. According to Johnson, the antihero aspect of the movie’s tale will be emphasized (via ScreenRant). For the film, he may even be pushing the character into more straight-out hero territory, which could make for a fascinating fight when he finally faces up with Shazam or, dare we say, Superman on the big screen.
