ICC Warns MS Dhoni For Wearing Indian Army Logo Gloves In Match

Dubai The International Cricket Council (ICC) on Friday rejected the Board of Control For Cricket’s request to let Indian wicketkeeper Mahendra Singh Dhoni support the ‘Balidaan’ insignia an emblem for the Indian army on his gloves for the remaining matches of the ICC World Cup 2019 .

In a statement issued by the council, it said that according to the rules no symbol or message can be pasted or carried on the sports gears or jersey, adding that MS Dhoni’s wicketkeeping gloves were in violation of the ICC rules.

“The BCCI had already sent a formal request to the ICC for clearance. As per ICC regulations, players can’t sport any commercial, religious or military logo. There was nothing commercial or religious in this regard as we all know Committee of Administrators  chief Vinod Rai earlier said.
