Interior Minister Shares Major Updates on UAE Visas

UAE Visas for Pakistanis May Soon Get Easier—Here’s Why

Interior Minister Mohsin Naqvi has said that the government is working hard to solve visa problems faced by Pakistanis who want to travel to the United Arab Emirates (UAE), Kuwait, and Oman. Many people have recently reported that their visa applications—especially for the UAE—are being rejected. Naqvi shared that the government is already in contact with officials from these Gulf countries and hopes to find a solution soon. He also mentioned that a meeting with the UAE’s interior minister is planned, where the issue will be discussed in detail.

Naqvi assured the public that the government is taking the matter seriously. He said that every possible effort is being made to make travel easier for Pakistani citizens. The goal is to restore trust and improve diplomatic ties with these important countries, so that Pakistani workers and visitors can travel without unnecessary delays or rejections.

The interior minister also talked about plans to improve the international ranking of the Pakistani passport. He said that the government is taking strong steps to give the passport a better reputation worldwide. This would help Pakistani citizens travel more easily to other countries and enjoy better treatment at airports and embassies.

Naqvi added that a better passport ranking means better global mobility. The government is focusing on improving its foreign relations and working with other countries to make the Pakistani passport stronger and more respected.

Talking about national security, Mohsin Naqvi emphasized that peace in Karachi is very important for the entire country. Karachi is one of Pakistan’s biggest and busiest cities, so its stability affects the rest of the nation. To help reduce crime and make the city safer, the government is planning to launch the Safe City project.

This project will use modern surveillance systems like CCTV cameras, facial recognition technology, and advanced monitoring centers. These tools will help law enforcement agencies keep a better watch on criminal activities and respond faster to emergencies.

Naqvi also shared that the government is working on a system that will link criminals’ records with their national identity cards through NADRA (National Database and Registration Authority). This move will make it easier for police and security agencies to track down criminals and prevent crimes.

Along with that, efforts are being made to improve security along Pakistan’s coastline. The country has a long coastline of around 1,002 kilometers. To keep it safe, more coast guard boats are being added. These boats will patrol the sea areas and help stop smuggling, illegal fishing, and any threats coming from the sea.

The minister also admitted that earlier governments did not do enough to plan for water needs in Pakistan’s major cities. Many urban areas face serious water shortages, especially during the summer. However, Naqvi said that the current government is aware of the problem and is making plans to improve the situation.

He expressed hope that future projects will bring positive changes. With better water management and investment in new systems, he believes that cities will get more reliable access to clean water.
