Punjab University Launches Allied Health Sciences Admissions for the First Time

Punjab University has officially started admissions in its Allied Health Sciences programs for the very first time. This step has been taken after receiving full approval from the concerned authorities and governing bodies. It marks an important milestone for the university, as it opens new doors for students interested in the medical and healthcare fields.

For the academic year, Punjab University is now offering admissions in three major programs under Allied Health Sciences. One of the main highlights is the Doctor of Physical Therapy (DPT) program, which is a full five-year degree. This program is ideal for students who want to pursue a professional career in physical therapy and rehabilitation.

In addition to DPT, the university has also launched two more programs. These are the four-year Bachelor’s degree in Audiology and the Bachelor’s degree in Medical Lab Technology (MLT). These programs are designed to prepare students for careers in hearing and speech-related services, as well as laboratory diagnostics and medical testing.

Punjab University has also expanded its Allied Health Sciences department by starting admissions in the Department of Optometry and Vision Sciences. This department will focus on educating students in the field of eye care, vision testing, and optical health. All these programs fall under the Faculty of Allied Health Sciences, and admissions will be offered on a self-support basis, which means students will have to cover their tuition and academic expenses.

Vice Chancellor Dr. Muhammad Ali shared that the university is fully prepared to support students with top-quality academic resources. He mentioned that students will have access to modern laboratories, advanced equipment, and well-designed classrooms to help them learn better. These new facilities aim to provide a strong foundation for students’ practical and theoretical knowledge in healthcare fields.
